Honoree: Louis A. Marli (1908-1997) a pharmacy owner, made many contributions to Staten Island sports over his lifetime. In the early 1950’s, he bought a semi-pro baseball team and renamed them The Staten Island Lions. He also sponsored the Drug Store Cowboys, a young adult baseball team, and supported a variety of athletic meets and special events
