CochranKhay Cochran Place (Brooklyn) Present name:None Location:Southeast corner of the intersection of State Street and Bond Street Honoree: In the summer of 2000, a catastrophic gas leak caused a row house at 420 State Street to explode, claiming the lives of the two residents, Leonard and Harriet Walit, and their next-door neighbor, Leon “Khay” Cochran.
