StylianouAndreas Stylianou Way (Brooklyn) Present name:None Location:At the intersection of 3rd Avenue and 7th Street Honoree: Andreas Stylianou died in December 2019 after being struck by a truck while crossing Third Avenue near his business. Stylianou was the owner of New Millennium Motors, an auto repair shop that he opened in 1999 and is a leading business in the the Gowanus-Park Slope area. While he was a prominent member of the business community in Brooklyn, he also had ties to Staten Island where the Andreas Stylianou Memorial Scholarship Award was set up for graduating high school students in his memory. He was a member of the PanCyprian Association Aphrodite, the organization that created the scholarship in his name. He supported several Greek-Cypriot cultural groups around the City and his business was a participant of the Disabled & Handicapped Sales Workshop, which helps to employ people with disabilities.
