Honoree: Pastor Marie C. Norwood (1931-2008) joined the Gospel Temple Church of God in Christ in 1952 and served as a missionary and charity board worker for over nine years. She then served was an Evangelist in the Deliverance Evangelistic Center for over a decade. She then founded the Bronx Deliverance Center of Faith Church. She was also the Executive Director of Carroll M. Christian Day Care Center, Director of Louis Irby After School Center, Founder and Director of the Bronx Christian Business Women Association, member of the Council of Churches of New York, a member of the Bronx Shepherds Restoration Inc., Executive Board Member of the Interdenominational Women’s Conference, President of the Bronx Chapter of the IWC and served on the Community Board.
