LynchFirefighter Michael F. Lynch Square (Bronx) Present name:Williamsbridge Square Location:Williamsbridge Square in front of Engine 62/Ladder 32 Fire House Honoree: Firefighter Michael F. Lynch (b. 1970) died on September 11, 2001 during fire and rescue operations following the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. LL:2004/08 Rev. Lawrence E. Lynch Memorial Triangle (Queens) Present name:None Location:The triangle at Atlantic Avenue and Rockaway Boulevard Honoree: Lawrence E. Lynch was assigned to the 69th Infantry Regiment during WWII. He offered comfort to the wounded and gave last rites to hundreds of the 20,000 American soldiers who lost their lives in the battle of Okinawa. He was killed in battle on April 25, 1945 while reading the last rites to a mortally wounded soldier. Father Lynch was 38 years old. (Lynch) LL:2018/139 Robert H.
