Honoree: Andy Foxe (1968-2021) attended DeWitt Clinton High School. After graduating in 1987, he trained to be a licensed barber, and opened the World Famous Barbershop at 587 East 168th Street. He was a model for the community as a citizen, business owner, community leader, father and loving husband. On Thanksgiving, he would give out turkeys and food, as well as helped and fed the homeless. During the school year, he would buy books and book bags for the kids. On Halloween, he would make sure to have plenty of candy for all the kids to have. He also invited the NYPD into his barbershop to have community meetings and discussions about neighborhood policing. He was also a volunteer worker at Ground Zero in the aftermath of the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. ( Gibson)
