Honoree: John Joseph Darcy (1941-1967) an honor student at St Matthew’s Elementary School and at Chelsea High School, served four years in the U.S. Navy before joining the NYPD. On September 13, 1967, he was fatally injured by a hit and run truck in the 28th Precinct where he worked. He died one hour and twenty minutes later at Harlem Hospital at the age of twenty-five.

Honoree: Thomas Michael Darcy (1965-2005) was the son of a police officer who had been killed in the line of duty in when he was two years old. Thomas Michael tragically fell from the Chase building in Lower Manhattan on April 14, 2005.
