Honoree: Manuel C. Fiallo Jr. was a community activist in the Rockaway peninsula. In 2007, the death of the well-known Far Rockaway rapper, Stack Bundles, sparked his passion to raise awareness on the issue of violent crime on the peninsula. He organized the Stack Bundles Stop the Violence Basketball Tournament with assistance from the 101st Precinct. In addition to the basketball tournament, he was instrumental in bringing special events to the Rockaways such as "Stop The Violence" men's and women's softball league; "Do it For Domo Talent/Fashion Show"; an Annual Teen/Adult Job Fair; community health fairs; and numerous other community events and programs.
