Honoree: Michael Morales (1946-2009) a Vietnam veteran, served with the NYPD for 29 years, assigned to the 122nd Precinct Detective Squad. He died from illnesses caused by inhaling toxic materials during rescue and recovery efforts following the terrorist attacks on 9/11.
