Location:Between East 42nd and 43rd Streets.
Honoree: Yitzhak Rabin (1922-1995) was a Prime Minister of Israel. In 1994, after initiating a peace agreement with Yasser Arafat of the Palestine Liberation Organization, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize along with Arafat and Israeli Foreign Minister Shomon Peres. The following year, while addressing a Peace Rally in Tel Aviv, he was assassinated by an Israeli extremist. The Israeli Consulate and UN Mission are located on this block.
