Honoree: Christopher J. Pickford (1969-2001) was an accomplished guitarist and song writer and used these talents in several bands throughout the years, appearing regularly in Manhattan’s East Village. He joined the NYFD in January 2000. He was one of the 342 firefighters killed in fire rescue operations at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
