Honoree:  William A. Morris, Jr. (1919-2018) was a veteran of D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge. The P.S. 19 park in West Brighton was named for him in 2017. He founded the league at the park that served nearly 900 kids every summer from 1973 to 1990. He and his wife were lay leaders of the Faith United Methodist Church in Port Richmond and ran its food pantry for over 40 years. He was also leader of Boy Scout Troop 47 for 35 years and, with his spouse, received the Silver Beaver, the highest award of service in scouting. (Rose)
