Honoree: 22-year-old Private 2nd Class Brian Grant (1973-2004) was killed in the line of duty while serving in Iraq. He had joined the armed forces after learning that some of his boyhood friends were lost in the World Trade Center. While on duty in Iraq he was wounded and died from his injuries, protecting the building where he was stationed.
