Colon (1946-2003) worked for the Department of Youth and Community Development as the Queens site center manager for Citizenship New York City, a program geared helping legal permanent residents to become US Citizens. Involved in her community, she was 1st Vice President of the Queens Hispanic Parade.. LL:2004/63 PFC Alberto Colon Street (Queens) Present name:204th Street Location:Between 46th Road and 47th Avenue Honoree: PFC Alberto Colon was a United States Marine killed in action in Vietnam on February 20, 1968. At the time of his death he had just turned 19 years of age. LL:2006/50 Rev. Ruben Dario Colon Place (Bronx) Present name:Woodycrest Avenue Location:West 167th and West 168th Streets Honoree: Ruben Dario Colon (1923-2000) became pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in 1959.
