Honoree:  Alf Larsen (1919-1944) served in the United States Army Air Force during WWII as a 1st Lieutenant on a B-17 Flying Fortress in the European Theater of the war. His B-17 crashed after encountering ground fire on June 27, 1944. He was killed in the line of duty and was awarded the Purple Heart. (Borelli)
