Honoree: This co-naming honors the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Its members are men and women who were wounded during combat. The organization, formed in 1932, raises money through the operation of thrift stores, donating automobiles, and by the annual distribution of its official flower, the Purple Heart Viola.
