Honoree: Dave Reid Jr. (1932-2014) was a community activist. He was chairperson of the Longfellow Block Association and Bronx Community Board 3. He was instrumental in organizing the first tenant league at 1670 Longfellow Avenue and later became the 7A administrator to manage the building. He was very involved with Mt. Zion C.M.E. Church which he served in several capacities. He had a major role in the planning, coordinating and development of the Rock Garden Park on Longfellow Avenue. (Arroyo)

Honoree: Roxanne Reid (1956-2021) was a school crossing guard and community activist. She set up a tenant patrol in her building that expanded to other buildings in her development, and became President of te Caste Hill Public Housing Tenant Association. She participated in marches, community building events and worked with local elected officials regarding issues that affected her community. She worked to protect youth from the dangers of the streets and provide employment in summer youth programs. Ms, Reid died in 2021 from Covid-related pneumonia. (Diaz)
